Refund Policy
The short version#
If a paid Localee plan or credit pack isn't a fit, email us (see “Contact”) within 14 days of your purchase and we will refund you in full — no questions asked. After 14 days, refunds are handled case by case.
What you can request a refund for#
- Plus ($9 / month or $90 / year) — full refund within 14 days of the initial purchase or any renewal you didn't intend.
- Max ($29 / month or $290 / year) — full refund within 14 days of the initial purchase or any renewal you didn't intend.
- Ultra ($99 / month or $990 / year) — full refund within 14 days of the initial purchase or any renewal you didn't intend.
- Credit packs (Starter $5, Small $10, Medium $20, Large $75) — full refund within 14 days of purchase, as long as the credits are substantially unused. If you have already spent a meaningful portion of the credits, we refund the unused balance on a case-by-case basis.
The free tier (1 task/day signed-out, 5 tasks/day signed-in) has nothing to refund.
Prices are in USD and exclude tax. Any taxes collected at checkout are refunded together with the plan or pack price.
How to request a refund#
- Email us (see “Contact”) from the email address on your Localee account.
- Include your Paddle order ID (in the receipt Paddle sent you) or the date and amount of the charge.
- We aim to reply within 2 business days. Approved refunds are issued by Paddle to the original payment method and typically arrive within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
Cancelling future charges#
A refund covers a charge that already happened. To stop future charges, cancel your subscription from the Paddle Customer Portal link in your receipt email, or email us and we will cancel it for you. Cancelling keeps your Pro access until the end of the current billing period. (Credit packs are one-time purchases — there is nothing to cancel; unused credits simply expire 12 months after purchase.)
When we may decline a refund#
We will normally honor any 14-day request, but we may decline if:
- The account shows clear signs of abuse — for example, exceeding fair use of the "unlimited" Pro tier in ways that look like scraping, resale, or automated mass generation.
- The same person has repeatedly purchased and refunded subscriptions or credit packs on multiple accounts.
- The request is made well after 14 days and the account has been used substantially during that time.
None of this affects rights you have under your local consumer protection law (for example, the EU 14-day right of withdrawal), which we will always honor.
Who handles the payment#
Localee uses Paddle as our Merchant of Record. Paddle is the seller on your receipt and processes the refund on our behalf. We approve or decline the request; Paddle moves the money.
